  • Board of Trustees of the Millburn/Short Hills Historical Society at Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society

    January 1995 - June 2013

    As a member of the Board of Trustees I attended monthly meetings our museum and interacted on behalf of the society on helping to preserve endangered properties. I contributed information on homes that are listed and sold in the community and I attended and/or worked on various fund raising events. I also shot and collected photos of homes that are torn down for our archives. I also helped convince residents to donate their significantly historic materials to the society museum and I promoted membership and interest with invitations to people through social media and by email to both current and former residents of the community. I run a group on facebook devoted to the old days of Millburn & Short Hills with 1,400+ members.

    A member of the Board of Directors of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce for two decades. My partner Daniel Cannizzo and I shared a seat for our last term and we attended monthly meetings, as well as particpated in retreats, committees for special events and we sponsored many of the activities created by the Chamber.
